About
BeSuccessful is a comprehensive community approach to addressing poverty, violence, and improving the quality of life for residents in District B.
The initiative is a partnership with Mayor Sylvester Turner’s One Safe Houston Initiative, Houston Health Department, local grassroots, workforce solutions, community-based organizations, local businesses, and public and private funding sources.

Our goals are to give residents an opportunity to co-create economic development in their neighborhoods, support local businesses and promote entrepreneurship, refurbish blighted buildings, provide residents with the amenities they need including grocery stores, restaurants, parks, etc. and advance Mayor Turner’s Complete Communities Initiative.
